Golden Falls Redbud (Cercis canadensis ‘Golden Falls’) is a weeping variety of the native redbud tree (Cercis canadensis) in the Fabaceae (bean) family. It was created by crossing two cultivars: ‘Covey’ (which has weeping green leaves) and ‘Hearts of Gold’ (known for its non-weeping, gold leaves). The result is a stunning tree with cascading branches adorned in golden-yellow foliage. In spring, it produces light purple flowers before the leaves emerge. You can use this dramatic tree as a specimen, accent, or even in small areas like patios or containers. It can grow up to 8-10 feet tall and 3-4 feet wide.
