Little Gem is a dwarf southern Magnolia with smaller dark green foliage and a very compact narrow form than standard Magnolias. The large, glossy, evergreen leaves have rusty-brown undersides and produce very attractive, large, white, fragrant blooms throughout the summer Grows around 20 feet tall and about 15 feet wide at the base. Best grown in moist, organically rich, well drained loam type soils. Does not like its soil to go from wet to dry, so always provide uniform moisture!
